The six week summer holidays are just around the corner and I've gathered a list of exciting events happening across the North East.

If you're looking for things to do during the school summer break, whether that's outdoor adventures, family shows, fun activities, or days out with the kids, there are plenty of fantastic events taking place across South Tyneside, Newcastle, Durham, Sunderland, Teesside and beyond.

From thrilling outdoor activities and engaging workshops to spectacular performances and family friendly festivals, there's something happening almost every day throughout the summer break.

Hopefully, this list gives you plenty of inspiration for your family calendar. Whatever you end up getting up to, I hope you all have a lush, memory filled summer.
